A ProPresenter and EasyWorship alternative for Nigerian churches
ProPresenter and EasyWorship are excellent, and for a church running video, lighting and a band with stage monitors, they are the right choice. This page is for the churches they were not priced or built for.
Where they are hard to adopt here
- Price and payment. Both are priced in US dollars and bought with an international card — which many church accounts do not have.
- The hymnal is not included. Neither ships with the DCLM Gospel Hymn Book, so someone has to type every hymn in, and decide by hand where each chorus goes.
- They assume a media team. The power that makes them good for large productions is more than a single volunteer needs to put a verse on the wall.
What Psalter does instead
- Paid once in naira through Paystack, from ₦25,000 — not a subscription.
- The DCLM Gospel Hymn Book already loaded, 252 hymns, with the chorus as its own slide.
- The whole King James Bible offline. Type a reference the way it is spoken —
jn 3:16,1 cor 13— or search the words. - Sermon notes uploaded as Word or PDF, with every scripture reference turned into a one-click slide.
- Arrow keys to run the whole service, B to black the screen.
What Psalter does not do
It is built for words on a wall: hymns, scripture, sermon points and notices. It does not play video, drive lighting, or feed a separate confidence monitor for musicians. If your Sunday depends on those, ProPresenter does far more, and is worth what it costs.
If your Sunday is a hymn, a reading and a sermon, and one person at a laptop is putting them on the screen, Psalter is the shorter path.
